And we're back!

I haven't posted in awile as things have been poretty hectic. My apologies for the long absence.

I have good news and better news.

The good news is I plan to post more often. The better news is I am planning to do some brand new strips and premiere them here.

Lately, I have also been posting Life In The Faster Lane strips over at Twitter. You can check my page out at http://www.twitter.com/bobbynash.
The image posted with this update is my working idea for the back cover of the Life In The Faster Lane omnibusI'm putting together that will collect all things R.O. & Co. I didn't realize I had so much stuff until I started going through the office. Wow! These bring back memories.

Yellow

I've never worn rose colored glasses. However, these days I feel like I'm wearing yellow tinted ones. The pollen continues to fall here in georgia, covering everything in its wake. To commemorate the moment, I thought it was only fitting that it coats this week's Life In The Faster Lane update.

The Dreaded Deadline Doom!

For those of you who haven't filed. Tick, tock, tick, tock. Time's running out.

Hugger Orange

My dad, the real life R.O. is fascinated by hugger orange. Don't know why. Can't explain it. Except that maybe, just maybe, he simply enjoys saying it. All I know is that the words "hugger orange" makes us laugh. Although, I can't believe he bought a car that was not hugger orange. :)

AH, SPRING... (part 1)

Spring has finally sprung. Time to start those spring projects like installing garage door openers, cleaning out the attic, planting a garden, mowing the lawn, and generally exhausting yourself.

Enjoy.

A sad, sad truth...

It isn't often I use Life In The Faster Lane for political or social commentary. However, this strip was done when gas prices started to climb a few years back. I think it's apropos today as well so here it is. I think we all can relate to this one.

LET THE GAMES BEGIN

This one is completely made up. R.O. bowling in real life is probably not going to happen. In this stripfrom 1992 I was looking for greatone off jokes and sight gags for the strip, which was just getting off the ground.

This is one of those strips. In retrospect, it's not even really all that funny.

Sketchin' at the Atlanta Comics Expo

I was a guest at the Atlanta Comics Expo on Feb. 8-10 and I finally posted a short recap and photos from the show for those who might be interested.

The charity event was an Iron Munny auction for Reading Is Fundamental. You'll see some very creative Munnys on display.

I was on a panel on Friday with artists Michael Golden,Steve Scott, Andy Smith, and fellow writer/artist Greg Carter. It was a fun panel.

You can check out the photos at www.comicspace.com/bobbynash (galleries are on the right of the page) and/or www.myspace.com/bobbynash (under PICS).

I also managed to wrangle in a Life In The Faster Lane sketch or two.
This is a sketch I did of R.O. for my table-mate at 2007's ACE, Sean Taylor. As luck would have it, our tables were next to one another this year as well so I finally thought to take a photo of the art.
Here's the sketch next to copies of Sean's Fishnet Angel series. R.O.'s punchline makes more sense now, doesn't it?
Now that Sean writes Gene Simmons' Dominatrix for IDW, I did a sketch for the 2008 show. That's an RO'ed (to coin a new phrase that will soon sweep the nation) version of an actual Dominatrix cover. If you haven't been reading this book, check it out. You'll enjoy it.
And here's the good sport showing off his sketch.
The Munny came with a blank sticker that I just could not pass up taking the opportunity to draw as R.O. After seeing this I want to buy and paint a real R.O. Munny.
I'll be at Con Nooga in Chattanooga, TN on Feb. 22 - 24. Hopefully I'll get to do more sketches there.
